Making A Difference to Everyone – MADE Project

MADE (Making A Difference to Everyone) project provides community engagement support for clients who lack the confidence and knowledge of advice and support available to them and to engage with them before crisis point e.g. debt, decreasing mental health, loneliness, homeless/ at threat of homelessness.

Support with practical ‘life skills’ and development of transferable skills; activities and workshops such as managing home budgets, learning how to use IT/Digital skills for more than just job searching, sector specific job clubs, how to prep for interviews (virtual and face to face) and route planning for interviews, presentation skills, access health support, social groups online, shopping/ saving money online etc.

Deliver bespoke one to one support to build upon their existing skills and employment history and increase the frequency of these to bring communities together and inspire individuals to work towards an end goal and making that goal achievable – step by step

Provide access to digital/IT equipment and training on how to use the equipment, video calling, Zoom & Teams meetings, face to face and online job interviews, meetings, for everyday life as well as for employment and self-employment.

Create links with local employers, businesses and in work training, volunteering/placements and employment opportunities for clients to learn ‘real’ work place and business skills and facilitate these placements.

MADE Project – Programme of Activities:

  • Regular coffee mornings – reducing isolation/loneliness and promoting positive well-being and healthy life styles
  • Small group activities e.g. arts & crafts
  • Learn to identify transferable skills e.g. budget management, digital skills
  • Support for small businesses – New and Existing
  • Access to digital equipment
  • Training for volunteers
